About

I’m a photographer working in the documentary mode, based in East London.

Photography is how I think — a way to observe, understand, and articulate the world around me.

I focus on long-form, multi-year projects, exploring different aesthetics as each subject demands.

My work examines public space: how it is shaped from the top down by political and financial forces, and continually reshaped from the ground up by individuals and communities. Across my projects, I record how people assert presence, make belief visible, and resist the pressures of the city.

Photography serves as a way to slow down and attend to the city’s pressures and contradictions, even amid its constant pull toward consumption and distraction.

The self-portraits below show some of the spaces which I inhabit.
